The third race weekend of the ADAC TCR series is behind at the Austrian Red Bull Ring. Positione Motorsport’s driver Jussi Kuusiniemi had difficulties in the qualifying on Friday when, after about five minutes of driving, another lens dropped from his spectacles. Kuusiniemi drove with one lens to 21 position in qualifying.
On Saturday in Austria, the first race took place in which Kuusiniemi started on 21 position. The driver of Positione Motorsport was already on the 16th position, until the engine mounts slammed and the motor broke. Kuusiniemi had to suspend the competition only after five lap. The team worked hard and repair the car to Sunday’s race.
On Sunday, Kuusiniemi started in the same positions as on Saturday, but this time the tour was over in the second round when German Sebastien Steibel slipped to the side of Kuusiniemi. The car was broken and the journey ended in another race.
– Very unlucky weekend, but this will continue in the forthcoming Nürburgring race in early August, the team manager of Positione Motorsport Harri Salminen told after the weekend.
