The second weekend of the German ADAC TCR series has been raced on the Mosts track in the Czech Republic. Jussi Kuusiniemi on the Positione Motosport was 15th place in the series with a thirteenth point before this weekend. Kuusiniemi was successful this weekend in qualifying, much better than in the opening round. The young man was eighth in the first qualifying and got into the second section of qualifying. There driver of Positione Motorsport did not succeed in the best possible way and was 12th in qualifying.
In the first race, which was raced on Saturday morning, Kuusiniemi succeeded in keeping his position and managed to the tenth of the race progressed. The last five laps of top 10 position races were fought tightly and the youngster had to give up a few position. Eventually, he was in the race 13th only two hundredths of a second.
In the second race, which was run on Sunday morning, Kuusiniemi failed in start and lost a lot of position. After the first lap, he had already dropped to 20th. He made a good moves and reached 13th until the braking of the first corner once went long and halfway on the track he go little bit out on the corner exit. In the finish line, Kuusiniemi was 15th.
– This was second weekend for Jussi in the ADAC TCR series and the development is all the time. Qualifying was much better and the pace was good throughout the weekend. A few mistakes in tight race just paid some position. Jussi continues in a tight series of 16th place, Harri Salminen from Positione Motorsport summed up the weekend.
Other Finns, Niko Kankkunen was 8th and Antti Buri 25th. The next race in the German ADAC TCR series is run from June 8th to 10th in Austria at Red Bull Ring.
